Welcome to the Foster Care Program

At Tapestry Family Services, we believe every child deserves a loving and stable home environment where they can thrive.  Our foster care program is dedicated to providing safe and nurturing homes for children who are, for various reasons, unable to live with their biological families. Through our program, we strive to ensure that every child receives the care, support, and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.

Our Approach to Foster Care

At the heart of our foster care program is a commitment to the well-being of every child in our care. We understand that each child comes with their own unique background, experiences, and needs. That's why we work closely with our resource families to create individualized care plans that address the specific needs of each child.

Our team of experienced professionals provides ongoing support to our resource families every step of the way. From training and education to emotional support and guidance, we are here to help our resource families navigate the challenges and rewards of foster care.

Respite Care: A Vital Support System

We understand that being a resource parent can be both rewarding and challenging. That's why we offer respite care services to provide our resource families with much-needed breaks and support. Respite care allows resource parents to take time for themselves, recharge, and rest, knowing that their foster child is in a safe and caring environment.

Whether it's for a few hours, a weekend, or longer periods, our respite care providers are trained and equipped to step in and provide temporary care for foster children when needed. This support system not only benefits resource parents but also ensures that foster children receive consistent and stable care even when their primary caregivers need a break.

If becoming a full-time resource parent is not something you’re quite ready to commit to, becoming a respite provider is a great way to help you decide!

Why Become a Resource Parent?

Becoming a resource parent is a deeply rewarding experience that can make a profound difference in the lives of children in need. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider opening your heart and home to a child in foster care:

Make a Difference

By becoming a resource parent, you have the opportunity to positively impact the life of a child who may have experienced trauma or instability. Your love, support, and guidance can help them heal and thrive.

Build Strong Relationships

Fostering a child can lead to meaningful connections and healthy relationships that last a lifetime. Many resource parents and children develop deep bonds that continue even after the child returns to their biological family or moves on to a permanent placement.

Personal Growth

Fostering a child challenges you to grow personally and professionally. It teaches empathy, patience, resilience, and compassion while providing opportunities for learning and self-discovery.

Create a Lasting Legacy

By providing a stable and loving home for a child in need, you are leaving a lasting legacy of love and kindness that will impact generations to come.

At Tapestry Family Services, we welcome individuals and families from all walks of life to join us in our mission to provide loving and supportive homes for children in foster care. If you're ready to make a difference in the life of a child, we invite you to consider becoming a resource parent today. Together, we can build a brighter future for children in need.
